Categorizing Unknown Or Unassigned Lead Sources -- Best Practices

 

  1. If the user does not know where to categorize the lead at all, they will normally click upon the box to the left of View Inactive Source and add ‘Unassigned’ to the lead.

 

If the user does not know where to categorize the lead at all, they will normally click upon the box to the left of View Inactive Source, and add ‘Unassigned’ to the lead.

 If they know it came from a professional type source, but don’t know what specific professional, they use ‘Other Professional’ as the sub-category, or we can add whatever type of subcategory under Professional that’s needed.

If the lead is from some sort of unknown Internet or Advertising type source they can create a ‘general advertising’ source or ‘unknown’ under 'Internet', and assign.

 If they know it came from a professional type source, but don’t know what specific professional, they use ‘Other Professional’ as the sub-category or we can add whatever type of subcategory under Professional that’s needed
